Peter and Sarah Besemer and Jordan
Maskell
Peter first came up with the concept behind
TopQuotes in 2005 when the regulations
governing insurance intermediaries in Cyprus
were changed following ascension to the
EU.
Since then all insurance intermediaries have
had to be full time professionals, licensed
and registered with the Cypriot authorities.
Insurance intermediaries are not allowed to
engage in any other activity and you should
only ever buy insurance from a registered
intermediary. Buying though a non-registered
sub agent may be illegal and could result in
an invalid policy.
TopQuotes is Cyprus' first intermediary to
represent all the top Cypriot insurers.

Directors Profiles
Peter Besemer was born in London in 1960. He
grew up in Enfield.
He has worked in the insurance industry for
29 years in the UK, Asia and Europe.
He owns property in Cyprus as well as being
the founder and CEO of TopQuotes. Together
with his wife and daughter, he spends roughly
half the year there. The rest of the time is
spent in the UK, looking after TopQuotes
clients who live in the UK.
He has been a Fellow of the Chartered
Insurance Institute since 1995.
Jordan Maskell was born in Margate, Kent in
1980. He worked in the travel and recruitment
industry, spending a year in Paphos where he
met his wife to be. On returning to the UK he
moved to Evesham in Worcestershire where he
began his career in insurance.
In 2004 he retuned to Paphos to get married
in St. George's church and in 2006 they were
blessed with a baby boy.
For the past 7 years he has worked at A-Plan,
one of the UK's largest high street
brokerage, and archived the Cert. CII
qualification and became a member of the
Chartered Insurance Institute.
He became Managing Director of TopQuotes in
2007 and is now permanently resident in
Paphos.
TopQuotes is a new venture. Our aim is to
serve the Cyprus community and we will be
starting to trade from early 2008. From that
date we will be able to discuss all your
insurance needs face to face or over the
phone as you wish.
